BHS Orchestra meets in two separate sections. Each section meets twice a cycle. Students participate in three dress rehearsals and concerts a year, plus graduation.
All High School students have the opportunity to audition for Senior Districts. Depending on their score they could be considered for All-State. 9th Grade students have the opportunity to audition for both Junior and Senior Districts (providing they don't make it into Senior Districts). BHS will also be performing at the MICCA festival for the third year in a row. MICCA auditions take place in late March/early April. Concert Attire LADIES Concert black attire - Black blouse and black dress pants or skirt (knee-length or longer) OR Black Dress, black stockings or socks, and black shoes. GENTLEMEN Black suit with school-provided Bow-Tie, OR White button-down shirt, black dress pants, black shoes/socks, and Blue Bow-Tie (provided). |
