Ms. Hart grew up in Dartmouth, MA. She decided to play the violin after hearing the Harry Potter theme played on it at her third grade instrument demo. Growing up she studied both violin and viola with Heather Church. She participated in the New Bedford Symphony Youth Orchestra and in 2014 won their annual concerto competition.
Ms. Hart received her BM in Music Education from the Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam in 2018, where she studied with Dr. Sarah Hersh. She went on to receive her MM in Music Education from Bowling Green State University in 2021.
Ms. Hart is an avid lover of playing all genres of music - she has studied traditional Irish, Scottish, and American fiddle music since she was young. In 2015 she studied abroad in Ireland for two weeks to learn more about Irish fiddling tradition. She also attended the Mark Wood Rock Orchestra Camp three years in a row and loves to play on her sparkly blue electric violin.
Prior to teaching strings in Bedford, Ms. Hart taught middle school strings and general music in Marlborough, MA.
She teaches grades 6, 7, and 8 orchestra and general music at John Glenn Middle School.
